Manchester

I don't know what to say about this, and then I more than know.

Scum targeted a show designed to entertain, and one packed with tweens. It takes a particularly callous mind to dream up and walk into a venue packed with kids and release a device filled with nails.

  1. Not that I'm lacking for disturbing news on a regular basis, this particularly bothered me when I saw it. Horrible!

    1. Yeah, me too. It was the first thing I saw when I switched things on this morning at 7. Kids, dammit, little kids out to watch a pop state off Children's TV.

  2. I've never understood how such actions make a plausible statement for whatever cause the bomber was supporting.

  3. Attacking children is especially horrible and unthinkable.

  4. Yep! It's awful. They're all awful, senseless.

  5. I think that it was kids and girl kids at that, that has really gotten too people in a very heartening way. There's a perception amongst the fanatics that the west is weak. But next evening there was another concert and the city was back within hours. Not because they were callous but because they wouldn't give in to a fear.

  6. And that seems to be the pattern -- there's a horrible event/tragedy, and security is enhanced to the point of annoyance (having to show bags on the way in, enduring a pat-down, etc.), but ultimately we do not give in to fear. A good thing.
